OIivier Leflaive
---
For the last two months we've been slowly building up a substantial collection of some terrific bottling's from Olivier Leflaive. Of course, we tried them the moment they landed, and we think they're worth very serious consideration for any white Burgundy lover or collector. Everything in this list below is a hit, but we're especially fond of the 2019 St Aubin Dents de Chien, the Meursault 1er Cru's, and the village Puligny-Montrachet. William Fevre
---
One of our most successful offers, both in terms of demand and quality, was the 2019 William Fevre campaign toward the end of 2021. Our Burgundy buyer Brent has managed to retaste many of these during this time, and the original hype for these on release has proven to be very well-justified! We're extremely lucky to have a top-up on these great wines which too, are maturing with absolute grace. These will make for great mature Burgundy wines if left in the cellar, but they're in very fine form today.
2019 William Fevre Chablis "Vaillons" 1er - $97 on special; $110 RRP
2019 William Fevre Chablis "Les Lys" 1er - $97 on special; $110 RRP (on Saturday tasting)

Château de la Chaize
---
The newly-imported Chateau de la Chaize has a history of grapegrowing and winemaking spanning over nearly 350 years. The wines are stunningly good! Ultra pure, squeaky clean, and just utterly delicious. We cannot recommend these more highly - we were all on the same page last week when we tried them, they're likely the best value imported wines into Australia right now. If you can't get in to taste, definitely grab one or two to take home and pair accordingly with some food; you won't be disappointed! Irresistible stuff.
2022 Chateau de la Chaize "Brouilly" - $37 on special; $42 RRP (on Saturday tasting)
2022 Chateau de la Chaize "Fleurie" - $37 on special; $42 RRP (on Saturday tasting)

Jean-Marc Bouley & Domaine Faiveley
---
End of financial year stocktakes by importers have yielded extraordinary results for us! We're lucky to have sourced 1-2 dozen each of 3 utterly brilliant wines we thought had sold out long ago! A 2019 Pommard from one of Burgundy's most respected vignerons, Thomas Bouley - while still a little young - is approaching its optimal drinking window. The other wine, and one of the benchmark Premier Cru reds of Burgundy, is the Domaine Faiveley Gevrey Chambertin "Les Cazetiers" 1er Cru, with both 2019 and 2020 vintages - both years proving to be truly great for this house as time goes on.
2019 Jean Marc Bouley Pommard - $132 on special; $150 RRP (on Saturday tasting)
2020 Domaine Faiveley "Les Cazetiers" 1er - $295 on special; $340 RRP (on Saturday tasting)

Andre Delorme Cremant Blanc de Blancs NV - $30 on special; $35 RRP
"Our Terroirs des Fleurs cuvée refers to white flowers: hawthorn, acacia and honeysuckle. This is a Blanc de Blancs, a blend of grape varieties producing white-skinned grapes. These grapes come from parcels producing wines with predominantly floral aromas (a characteristic usually found in Mâcon wines). This is what gives it the fine finesse and aromatic elegance so characteristic of the Delorme style. This cuvée is made exclusively from Chardonay and Aligoté grapes. The coloured bands on its pearly label reflect its luminous personality and the excellence of the House’s winemakers over the years." - Winemaker Notes
Domaine Laroche 'Les Chanoines' Chablis 2022 - $49 on special; $59 RRP
Here is a wine for lovers of all thing Chablis! What stands out most about the 2022 'Les Chanoines' is just how nicely balanced this wine is - there's lovely freshness, outstanding purity, no hard edges - but it still remains so typically Chablis. The wine is aged on lees in stainless steel in order to bring some further texture to the middle of the palate - not so much increasing the wine's weight per se, but rather lending a more aesthetic component to that light-medium bodied appeal. The finish is super, tinged with the signature oyster shell mineralité and stonefruit citrus allure of a classic Chablis.The relatively open-knit structure means this needs no time to 'open up', making it extremely versatile and ready to enjoy at a moment's notice - Our Notes
Sainte Marie Provence Rosé 2022 - $29 on special; $32 RRP
// Organic (40% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 15% Syrah, 15% Tiburen)
"The hue is a very pale rosé with some nice gold reflects. On the nose emerges some delicate touch of white flowers and small red berries The mouth is clean, soft, pleasant and well balanced, with a salty end. It will go perfectly with half-seared tuna or aromatic salads." - Winemaker Notes
Chateau Loirac 2019 - $32 on special; $36 RRP
// 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot.
"In the heart of Medoc, from harvest to bottling, this wine was produced with the utmost commitment to quality. Aged in French Oak barrels for 12 months. It offers attractive spicy notes and rich fruit flavours. Enjoy it with grilled meats or cheese." - Winemaker Notes
Delas Crozes Hermitage 'Les Launes' Syrah 2021 - $43 on special; $49 RRP
// 100% Syrah
"Delas Freres is a winery of tradition and renewal. Founded 160 years ago in the heart of the northern Côtes du Rhône, the winery enjoyed the dynamism of its original founders and their heirs and more recently, the renewed energy of the Lallier-Deutz family. Today, the Delas wines are crafted by a panel of experts headed by winemaker Jacques Grange.
