Reds -

2022 Mewstone Tasmania Pinot Noir - $60 on special; $69 RRP

"Mewstone vineyard lies on six hundred metres of ocean frontage rolling into the D'Entrecesteaux Channel. The maritime climate balances the cool southerly latitude to yield grapes with intense flavours and great natural acidity. Grapes grown at the vineyard were hand picked, naturally fermented with 25% whole bunch, gently pressed and aged in french oak." - Winemaker Notes

///

2020 Jean Marc Bouley Bourgogne Rouge - $87 on special; $99 RRP

"A cuvée that now sees two winters in barrel like the rest of the range, the 2020 Bourgogne Côte d’Or Rouge exhibits aromas of sweet berries, spices and vanilla pod, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless palate that’s flesh and charming, with sweet tannins and succulent acids. Drink now to 2035." - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

///

2021 Bass Phillip Estate Pinot Noir - $99 on special; $115 RRP

"Medium full ruby with a tinge of purple; the aromas are of red fruits, the profile lean and elegant, with bountiful drying tannins, and touches of foresty pinot mystery. The wine is lean and drying on the aftertaste. Nice elegant wine, worth a little cellaring also." - 95 Points, Huon Hooke, The Real Review

///

2016 Jim Barry St Clare Cabernet Malbec - $63 on special; $72 RRP

"Made from the two red grape varieties I think the Clare Valley does best. I love a wine where it takes me only a couple of seconds to form an opinion. This was love at first sight, or sip. Red and black berries, mint and leaf, a violet perfume, tobacco and all that, but it’s the dense, yet light palate that pulls you in. It’s packed with tannin, feels fine in the acid department, has this inky ferrous thing going on, which is wonderful. Pushes through with red fruits, black tea and super length, cool acidity ringing clear. Grand wine. Does the Clare Valley proud." - 95+ Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front

///

2022 Torbreck Hillside Shiraz Roussanne - $28 on special; $32 RRP

"Lifted aromas offer a core of black fruits and summer berries such as satsuma plum, blackberry, mulberry and boysenberry interwoven with secondary notes of ironstone, graphite, bergamot and milk chocolate. The palate’s round and plush mouthfeel surrounds the core of dark fruits and complements soft and silky tannins that are harmonious and textural." - Winemaker Notes

///

2019 Kaesler Old Bastard Shiraz (w/ Wood Gift Box) - $245 on special; $280 RRP

"Thick, rich and potent wine. Blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate and liquorice, slightly tarry, but also has some perfume, along with vanilla wafer oak. Dense tannin, dark and brooding, but also stays quite fresh, even has something of a graphite and ‘mineral’ character, and the finish is very long and deep, roasted coffee and a saline aftertaste. Impressive." - 95 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front

Henschke Keyneton Euphonium 2010 & 2015 Twin Pack - $169 per box

"The Keyneton Euphonium Luxury Twin Pack contains a current release and museum vintage of this shiraz cabernet blend is the perfect wine pairing for your festive lunch or dinner. The 2010 and 2015 Keyneton Euphonium vintages are rated Excellent and Exceptional respectively, by winemaker Stephen Henschke, and reveal vibrant notes of mulberry and forest fruits, with more subtle hints of cedar, clove and anise, and a smooth and lingering finish. Enjoy the beauty in comparing these two special vintages." - Winemaker Notes

Chardonnay

2021 Dominique Portet Single Vineyard Chardonnay - $34 on special; $39 RRP

"From a high-elevation, steeply sloping Upper Yarra vineyard of red, volcanic soils planted to Bernard/Dijon clones. A chardonnay of elegance and finesse, with all the focus on the fruit (balance the key) and the length that is the Yarra Valley birthmark." - 97 Points, James Halliday, Wine Companion

///

2021 Voyager Estate Margaret River MJW Chardonnay (w/ White Gift Box) - $104 on special; $118 RRP

"The palate is refined and feels effortless as the citrus flavours mingle with grilled-almond lees, clotted cream and some oak spice offering savoury nuances. There's certainly texture, but the fine line of acidity just reins in everything as the finish lingers. It feels cool and calm." - 96 Points, Jane Faulkner, Wine Companion

///

2019 Pierro Vintage Reserve Chardonnay - $139 on special; $159 RRP

"Richness and generosity, freshness and chalky-flinty minerality - all even, all in synch, all good. Scents of honey toast, Parisian almonds, ripe apple, nashi pear and cinnamon. The palate similarly set, plush in a way but for that building pucker of talc-like chew and yet it finishes with amplitude and very long down the trail. A little cinnamon and clove spice lingers, a touch of almond nuttiness too. There's a lot of chardonnay here, and it's done well in that way. Delicious and moreish expression." - 95 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front

Whisky, Rum & Port -

Highland Park 12 Yr. Old Single Malt Whisky - $96 on special; $110 RRP

// Gold Winner at International Spirits Challenge 2021

"Matured predominantly in European and American sherry seasoned oak casks, our iconic 12 Year Old single malt whisky is spicy and well-rounded, packed with the flavours of sun-kissed Seville oranges and rich fruitcake spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; you’ll find molten heather honey in this whisky’s waves of heathery peat smoke. Why not try it with a handful of wasabi peas on the side or alongside a sizzling, pan-fried rib-eye steak or with smoked salmon and sour cream." - Distiller Notes

///

"Co-created by one of Scotland’s most awarded Master Distillers, Jim McEwan and Cape Byron Distillery Co-founder and distiller Eddie Brook, this Australian adaptation of a classic Scottish whisky is truly remarkable and unique to the terroir of the Byron Bay region. Refined with a deep hue influenced from Australian chardonnay casks, the palate exudes decadent notes of chocolate and hazelnut praline, layered over distinct characteristics of raisin, baked apples and maple." - Distiller Notes

///

Havana Club Añejo 7 Años Rum - $70 on special; $79 RRP

"The Cuban Rum Havana Club 7 Años is highly versatile. Crafted for sipping, it can be enjoyed on the rocks and is ideal for your cocktails. This dark rum, matured in ex-Bourbon barrels, showcases the rich natural flavours of Cuba. The spirit unveils the tastes of the Cuban terroir: aromatic tobacco, sweet tropical fruits, molasses, spices, and vanilla from the continuous ageing process, enhanced by the slow release of aromas." - Distiller Notes

///

Plantation Extra Old 20th Anniversary Rum - $109 on special; $119 RRP

"First aged in bourbon casks in Barbados for many years, this rum is then sailed across the ocean in barrels to the southwest of France to be further matured in small Ferrand French oak casks. This centuries-old “double ageing“ process imparts incredible smoothness and complexity. It unveils a sophisticated palate of chocolate, vanilla, ripe banana, roasted coconut and a hint of fresh mango notes. With a remarkably long finish, Plantation XO 20th Anniversary is truly a rum to savor." - Distiller Notes

///
