2022 Art Series Riesling - $20 on special ; $24 RRP

"Lively and fragrant, amongst chamomile, kaffir lime leaf, Thai basil and galangal, there is a bursting array of finger limes, lemon sherbet and grapefruit zest. Distantly there are subtleties of ocean spray, samphire and petrichor. The palate is vibrant and racy, outlined again by a solid core of the citrus spectrum. Energy is revealed through a laced natural acid corridor, almost possessing a quartz-like tactile feel. The shape and frame is fine, elegant and long. Nuances of saltbush and coriander seed through the mid-palate generate unassuming complexity." - Winemaker Notes

"Inviting aromas of fleshy peaches, apricots, white tea and subtle spice. Medium-bodied with silky texture. Subtle and nuanced with the nose continuing and expanding on the palate before gently trailing off at the finish. Minerals come out at the end. Dry. Drink now or hold." - 92 Points, James Suckling

2022 Art Series Sauvignon Blanc - $29 on special ; $33 RRP

"Woven layers of cut lime, lemon skin, black pastille and gooseberry. There is balance and complexity in the form of cardamom, coriander seed and fennel bulb. Energy and vitality are also evident with heightened lime blossom and salt bush. The palate is punchy with tension. Direction is driven through a fine, mineral and laced acid structure. The primary fruits correlate from the nose with volumes of citrus and cape gooseberry. Texture is diligent with savoury oak notes in way on grilled almonds and spice. Long palate defined by a saline and talc finish." - Winemaker Notes

"A layered nose of white peaches, poppy seed, dried lime and white tea. Medium-bodied with sharp yet well-balanced acidity that compliments the fresh stone fruit palate. Persistent, pleasantly dry and mineral at the finish. A bit of herbs and flowers, too. A charmer. Drink or hold." - 92 points, James Suckling

2020 Art Series Shiraz - $43 on special ; $49 RRP

"An abundance of dark cherries, blueberries, mulberries and currants surround the nose with heightened floral notes of violets and lavender. Beneath there lies subtle spice notes of black cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise. Gentle layering of cedar, black pepper, and chalk is threaded within. An energetic palate with bright and fresh acidity is the backbone weaving within concentrated boysenberries, cherries and currants. There is dimension and capacity through the mid, leading to structural silky tannins that linger to a long finish." - Winemaker Notes

"Beautiful vibrant primary fruit characters here. Smooth, integrated and seamless. There is a juicy character but it's quite tight and controlled with a precise and detailed finish. Shiraz has gone through a remarkable reincarnation after being pulled out in 1980 in favour of sauvignon blanc. Thankfully it's now part of a renewed focus. This one is spicy and highly perfumed with a vibrant high energy palate. Lovely primary fruit flavours well supported with excellent large format oak influence." - 95 Points, Ray Jordan

2018 Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon - $78 on special ; $89 RRP

“The foundation vineyard of Leeuwin Estate Art Series Cabernet is the 1975-planted Block 8. The vineyard is meticulously managed to promote the development of high intensity fruit and fine classical grainy tannins. Although the growing season and maritime climate are similar to Bordeaux, the atmospheric conditions, lateritic soils, Karri forests and bush-garrigue bring a very different and highly particular set of challenges. The region also has an astonishing diversity of bird life which presents difficulties. Most vineyards are nowadays netted after veraison to stave off the squadrons of Australian ringneck 28ers (Twenty Eight Parrots). Deep crimson. Classical blackcurrant cedar aromas with lifted espresso, roasted chestnut notes. Inky deep and beautifully concentrated wine with dense blackcurrant, dark plum, dark chocolate flavours, fine grainy/chocolaty tannins and perfectly integrated cedar oak. A superb grainy firm finish and mineral length. A great Leeuwin Estate Cabernet. Drink now through to 2040." - 99 Points, Andrew Caillard MW, The Vintage Journal

2019 Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon - $87 on special ; $99 RRP

"Elevated, perfumed and fragrant, higher notes of bay leaf, clove and dried sage meet opulent blackcurrant and Morello cherries. Incredible complexity in a niched corridor of camphor, lavender, and cayenne pepper. Generosity, layers and contours surround the palate. Density of dark forest fruits combine with cacao, cracked coffee and anise. Vibrancy and energy is underlined with a mineral and graphite acid line and delicate elegant finish." - Winemaker Notes

"Deep ruby red in the glass. Classic aromas of cassis, tobacco and cedar shavings lift up and are mirrored on the full, yet supple palate. The balance between the fruit weight and sandy persistent tannins creates a tension that sends the entire package very long to the finish. Very classy and classic Margaret River cabernet." - 95 Points, Stuart Knox, The Real Review

2020 Art Series Chardonnay - $149 on special ; $165 RRP

"Power and presence on the nose, then energy and vitality are the thread. Lemon curd, fresh nashi pear and lime create the shape and frame aromatically. Beneath, there are layers of vanilla pod, tea leaf, lemon myrtle and flint nuances. Heightened fragrance of frangipani and citrus blossom ensue. Neatly packaged and foiled are notes of patisserie, flint and nougat. The palate is precise, focussed and fine with delicately woven texture through the mid-palate. Juicy white peach combines with pear at the core. Threaded within is harmony, elegance and vibrancy that pulls all elements together in a seamless line. A saline and mineral finish is the hallmark of this classic 2020 vintage." - Winemaker Notes

"It would not surprise me if this was considered the greatest Leeuwin chardonnay yet. You would get no argument from me... there is elegance and power here. Subtle layered wine. It was a year of great concentration and power. Has pear and lime character that is part of the DNA. The fruit is generous, especially about the mid palate. Has a subtle and not overstated flinty character with a lift of spice. The oak is brilliantly managed and complementary. It's very tight and precise and the whole-bunch technique gives it that stalky, phenolics character. There's a savoury almond meal character on the finish. Incredible length and power here. The minerally character on the finish is quite pronounced. In the top three, certainly, of any Leeuwin chardonnay." - 99 Points, Ray Jordan
