2022 Soumah d'Soumah Select Vineyard Pinot Noir (Yarra Valley) - $29 on offer this week ; $33 RRP

"Our Pinot Noir has an attractive garnet colour and delivers a cherry and raspberry fruit profile along with savoury fleshiness. The barrel fermentation develops the rich flavour and aroma of the wine and a good portion of new barrels adding classic soft oak characters helping the overall integration of the wine. Serving the wine cool (around 15 degrees) will ensure the flavour profile which suits pairing with Mediterranean dishes, chicken, duck and light meats." - Winemaker Notes

2022 Strelley Farm Pinot Noir (Tasmania) - $29 on offer this week ; $33 RRP

"A blend of 37% Derwent Valley, 34% Tamar Valley, 23% East Coast and 6% Coal River Valley fruit. Small parcels were fermented separately in open top fermenters with twice daily cap management. Ten months maturation in new (20%) and seasoned French oak prior to blending and bottling. Light garnet hue, with perfumed aromas of ripe plum, raspberry and dark cherry supported by subtle oak spice. On the palate, bright and juicy red fruit flavours upfront are underscored by a dense core of dark cherry and supple oak tannin." - Winemaker Notes

2023 Mulline Pinot Noir (Geelong) - $30 on offer this week ; $34 RRP

"100% from the Sutherlands Creek sub region in Moorabool Valley North West of Geelong. 80% Able clone (which is 100% destemmed and as Ben describes offers a freshness/juiciness, colour and distinct raspberry tones to the wine. The remaining 20% component is from MV6 clone (20% whole-bunch) providing darker/purple fruits, berry and spice notes." - Franc About Wine

2022 Kooyong Massale Pinot Noir (Mornington Peninsula) - $30 on offer this week ; $35 RRP

"Brightly aromatic with lifted fruit aromas of dark cherry, wild strawberry and pomegranate, leading to hints of earth and savoury spice and an element of fine oak toast in the background.The palate is generously fruited with morello cherry and raspberry flavours, and the tannins are supple yet savoury and intermingle with the fruit layers. A bright line of cranberry-like acidity pulls it everything together. Fine, long and intricately detailed this wine can be drunk now but will gain further complexity with medium term cellaring." - Winemaker Notes

"Another very fine Pinot from Kooyong, sourced from their Balnarring and Tuerong vineyards. A vibrant garnet hue. Spices, some earthy notes intertwined with florals and dried herbs. A hint of animal skins. An appealing and alluring Pinot Noir nose. The palate is seamless, a soft texture with cushiony tannins. There is also fresh acidity and good length with lovely raspberry notes emerging across the palate. Lots to like here." - 93 Points, Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot

2021 Mount Edward Ted Pinot Noir (Central Otago) - $34 on offer this week ; $38 RRP

// Certified Organic

"Soft, supple and Central Otago delicious– everything you want in a Pinot Noir. Awesome value and just the ticket when needing something new and special. Grapes from our Estate vineyards, destemmed, wild yeasts, French oak, no fining nor filtration." - Winemaker Notes

2022 Hughes & Hughes Pinot Noir (Tasmania) - $34 on offer this week ; $39 RRP

"Fruit from vineyards in the Coal River, Derwent and Huon Valleys. Predominantly whole berry, 10% whole bunch, natural yeast, held on skins for 16-21 days. Pressed directly to and matured in oak (10% new). Bottled unfined." - Winemaker Notes

"The 2022 Hughes & Hughes Pinot Noir was made from fruit sourced from a selection of vineyards and was made with a predominance of whole berries, a small proportion of whole bunch (10%), fermented wild and matured in oak. On the nose, there are ripe summer strawberries, raspberry leaf tea, a hint of clove and freshly grated nutmeg and a lick of licorice, and all of that is wrapped around a core of black cherry fruit. In the mouth, the parade of flavor continues, albeit within a fine-boned frame. This is lightweight, spicy and supple. It is ductile and very pretty and only at the beginning of its journey." - 92+ Points, Erin Larkin, Wine Advocate
