"Imaginador comes from two vineyards. The backbone of the wine is our TRANE vineyard, planted in 1944, rooted in a complex terroir: the top two meters consist of highly ferric silty-sandy soils, followed by a verysandy, quartz-rich, deeply weathered bedrock of light brown color. The second terroir is our MILES vineyard, planted in 1982. MILES is strikingly different—very rocky, with large quartz pebbles (over 3 mm), a silty-sandy texture, and a high presence of iron. Both vineyards are located at the highest part of Guarilihue Alto, only 350 meters apart. Imaginador is vinified in concrete vats, with aging carried out in large wooden foudres and concrete tanks. Annual production is approximately 10,000 bottles." - Pedro Parra, Winemaker
"The Imaginador collects the fruit that doesn't go into the five single-vineyard bottlings and presents them with the clarity and precision many producers strive for in their top cuvées. It leads with a spice-driven nose, adding flourishes of dried flowers and smoke with time. The palate embodies the weightlessly saturated profile that defines the entire portfolio, concluding with ultra-refined tannins and stony persistence.
