Description / Reviews
"This is the quintessential Beaujolais: fruity, fresh, easy-drinking, crisp with a tangy note of fresh red fruits: Morello cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. A convivial wine par excellence, it's best enjoyed with friends in a relaxed atmosphere. It pairs well with a wide variety of occasions and dishes. It's perfect for barbecues, casual get-togethers, and more." - Winemakers Notes
"This mouthwatering crowd-pleaser is named after a grove of cherry trees that flank the vineyard. The fruit comes from 30- to 40-year-old Gamay vines, grown in dark granite soils around the Chermette homestead in Saint-Vérand, southern Beaujolais. In contrast to his age-worthy Crus from Moulin-à-Vent and Fleurie et al., Chermette aims to produce something light-to-medium-bodied, bright and cherry-fruited with reach-for-another-glass charm." - Importer's Notes
"A good vibration of energy – with a little spice. Plenty of colour. This has a lovely texture and depth of tasty fruit. Good length – simply a super Beaujolais…” - Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report
