Description
La Comme is a standout site in Santenay, situated right on the border with Chassagne, and is recognized for producing Pinot Noir with an elegance that contrasts the more robust character typically linked to the village. Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey brings his trademark precision and finesse to this Premier Cru, capturing both the richness of Santenay fruit and the clarity that comes from meticulous winemaking.
The 2023 vintage offers an especially well-judged balance, bright and lifted, yet with depth and weight. It’s a vibrant Pinot that avoids austerity, showing darker red fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a savory, mineral-driven core that clearly reflects its origin. While it's already expressive with some air, it promises greater complexity with a few years of aging.
As is typical for PYCM, production is extremely limited, making this a rare and refined interpretation of the vineyard that emphasizes elegance and site transparency.
