"While many producers take the approach of "more, more, more" for their reserve wines, Pierro seems to, if anything, pare back the perceived inputs into this wine, which allows the fruit to sing. This 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Reserve has gorgeous clarity and repose; the red fruit sits in harmony and comfort with the tannins, which are very finely milled and powdery in the mouth. It's an elegant wine that has a little minty flick through the finish.
