Description / Reviews
"A luscious and aromatic dessert wine, the nose is expressive of baked apple laced with brown sugar, quince paste, rosewater and the floral lift of bergamot tea. The rich palate is remarkably balanced, sweetness concentrated at the front with green apple lift mid-palate. Textural phenolics lend a subtle grip, creating a crunchy mouthfeel and clean finish." - Pressing Matters, Winemaker
"Pressing Matters has been a roll with this wine of late, and the '24 carries on that theme. It's sweet and wonderfully pure, with an unctuous profile and base fruit tones of green apple, lime, candied citrus rinds, citrus blossom, apple turnover, crushed stone and ozone. Sleek, mineral acidity plays its part in tempering the 139 grams of RS. Finishes clean and shows impressive balance and length." - 96 points, Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
"Very pale lemon yellow colour. Lemon squash and candied mint leaf aromas. A lively palate, sweetness is obvious with its candied citrus notes, but there’s sherbet acidity that lifts it as it runs along the tongue. Great length and the lighter weight allows this to be matched across a wide array of dishes. Carries its 139 g/L sugar very well" - 95 points, Stuart Knox, The Real Review
