"A female winemaker from a multi-gen Booj family. She produced just two wines per year, and from the shared, family winery.
This is more traditional in styling, rustic herbal notes in bloody game meat, salted plum, turned earth, slate-stony tannin softly playing in a squish of that dark fruit and savouriness. Has a little ferrous complexity in a nuanced way. It should titillate those who miss fuller, deep and elemental Beaujolais but may make a few technocrats reach for their science lab; a shame, the wine has plenty of fruit, spice, savoury detail and feels well dressed in its regional roots dressing.
