// 90% Pinot Gris, 10% Gewurztraminer
"Our gateway Amber (Orange) style Pinot gris with a dash of gewurztraminer. Just a lovely summery wine that you can enjoy on its own or with just about any food." - Ravensworth, Winemaker
"In a similar story to the last few years, fruit for this year’s Pinot Gris is an equal split from two vineyards: Long Rail Gully and Ravensworth. The Long Rail Gully vineyard in Murrumbateman sits on granite soils at a slightly lower elevation of 600 metres. Bryan Martin treats his Pinot Gris like a red wine. The fruit is destemmed to a one-tonne open-top vessel where it ferments on skins for four weeks. Once the cap sinks, the wine is pressed to tank to settle before bottling. The '25 vintage was a "perfect year" according to Bryan: a little rain, a little warmth and a lot of delicious fruit. " - Bibendum, Distributor
"A blend of Hilltops and Canberra District, the wine sees some skin fermentation to eke out colour and texture. Curiously, a dash of gewurz is included too this year. Bright, orange-pink hue in the glass. Peachy scents, fresh and dried, some brown skin pear, pickled Japanese ginger, passionfruit whiffs, white pepper and some cut grass aromas. The palate is squeaky and edgy, a kind of pleasing, bitter tonic water flavour profile with more stone fruits, some faint lychee elements, a lick of pickled onion and some edgy, cumquat tang. It’s not quite as successful as past iterations which felt authoritative, this a little jangly and leaning into floral, fruity, zingy party wine territory. Will be fun for many." - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
"A copper, orangey red in appaearance. There's plenty of lifted sweet florals, musk, lychee, stone fruit and spice. Pithy, fleshy and mouth-filling, with a core of apple, citrus and red fruits. Grippy and with smart length." - Aaron Brasher, The Real Review
