"Black cherry and red liquourice with sweet spice, terracotta, chinotto, musk lollies and rhubarb compote. A powerful and complex nose backed up by a flavourful palate. Medium bodied and flavourful. The tannins are entwined with the acidity and balanced with the mouthful of fruit and spice. The mid palate is sweet and fleshy but held in check by the tannins and the finish is generous and long." - Winemaker Notes
"There are a few Iberian-accented reds in the eclectic Pannell portfolio, with this a fine balance between the heady blue and purple florals of touriga and the more grounded dark fruits and spice of tempranillo. Oozing dark berries, preserved cherries, sarsaparilla, cinnamon stick in black-cherry-poaching syrup, clove and star anise, black jellybean.
