Description / Reviews
"A little vineyard in Willunga, picked in two waves, one early and herbaceous, one later for generosity, blended to make one complete wine. Wild fermented, pressed early to old oak and then bottled after 9 months." - Somos, Winemaker
"From Slate Creek vineyard in Willunga, aged in older oak for 12 months. And, as usual, two picks to complex things. Hence, some lifted cooler notes, green peppercorn, blackcurrant leaf, hedgerow, and then that varietal pencil shaving and pepper character. Some mulberry, currant and raspberry, a vague hint of vanilla. Mid-heft, pleasingly open and supple, fine of grip. A lunch thing, perhaps, or just an engaging, easy but detailed and primally pleasing wine." - 93 Points, Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion
