Description / Reviews
We have the very first of our dinner events for the year all lined up in around a month's time, and we're thrilled to say it will revolve entirely around the wonderful house of William Fevre! This beloved Chablis estate, celebrated for its extensive catalogue of notable Premier & Grand Cru labels, has seen growth from 7 hectares at its inception in 1959 to an impressive 78 hectares in the modern era, and continues to be a true custodian of these historically renowned terroirs. With the widest array of Grand Crus in the region, they reflect the clay-rich lime soils and Kimmeridgian subsoils in whites of minerality, purity and nuance - perfect for the meals and setting we have in mind!
On Tuesday 17th of March, we will be joined by Pierre-Antoine Ballan, regional manager for Lafite Rothschild (who purchased the Fevre estate in early 2024), who will be our host for a fun evening of specially curated food and Fevre pairings at Fosh Restaurant (Portside Wharf, Hamilton). This is a wonderful opportunity for any who appreciate and adore the Chablis style - one that is no doubt growing in demand universally - but also those intrigued by the appreciable differences between each of these single vineyard sites, with some characterised by taut laser focus and others by broad powerful fruit complexity.
The evening will kick off at 6:30pm, with some entry sips and fresh oysters, before we sit down and Pierre-Antoine takes us away - please see the full food menu and wine lineup below, with tickets available now via the links!
