Description / Reviews
"The Dolcetto grapes we produce come from our own vineyards, where we find soils typical of the Helvetian region (ancient in origin, calcareous-clayey with shades of pale gray and pink. Alternating layers also include siliceous sandstone, calcium carbonate, and iron). The color is intense ruby red with purple highlights. The persistent floral and fruity aromas of sweet violets and small red fruits give it a pleasant immediacy. Its moderate tannins and balanced, elegant structure make it the quintessential "everyday wine," satisfying without being overly demanding." - Beatrice Boschis, Winemaker
"From three vineyards in Monforte (Ravera, Le Coste and Mosconi), this is fermented and aged in stainless steel to produce a racy wine with bright blue fruits, spice and floral notes, the tannins ripe and round. A great wine for antipasti and first courses. Quite a bit more detail here than the norm." - Trembath & Taylor, Importer
