"Ok, this one is a big bold boy. A bloody yum big bold boy I should add. Ordinarily we make our Viognier in a brighter and lighter style compared to Viogniers typically made in our region, however 2025 rolled around with a series of headwinds and we ended up with a much bigger form of Viognier than we would generally make, more akin to the Condrieu style from France. Textual, vibrant, complex, screams its head off with apricot vibes - a cracker with a serious meal - think: if a massaman and a jungle curry had a baby or simply a rich French cassolet. Not one to necessarily pair with air, but definitely one for a classy dinner party, some fun friends, and hearty fare." - Winemaker Notes
"This hits the spot. That nice chew and waxy nature to texture of the best examples of the variety. Some savouriness, green almond, light cashew-paste notes, a dusting of warm, sweet spice. The flavours set to green mango, just-ripe apricot, a touch of natural-yoghurt creaminess and pleasing bitterness of that. Something pithy, something nutty. It's a complex, layered, good-times example of the variety." - 94 Points, Mike Bennie, Halliday Wine Companion
