Description / Reviews
"A markedly more sauvage-inflected nose speaks mostly of earth and humus on the ripe dark berry fruit aromas. There is superb density to the powerful and palate drenching large-bodied flavors that also exude plenty of minerality on the explosively long, robust and vaguely rustic finish. This exceptionally serious effort could also use better depth but once again, that should be no problem given its considerable potential. A stunner of a LSJ." - 95 points, Allen Meadows, Burghound
"Cask sample. Deep cherry; broader than the Petite-Chapelle, rounder with fresh acidity. Concentration. (MH)" - 17/20 points, Matthew Hayes, Jancis Robinson
"A lovely wine, with bright mulberry and currant fruit, strong mineral and earth notes, plus a hint of peony. The texture is firm but lively, with lots of fresh acidity and firm tannins, but also a round density that fills the wine out nicely. Well done. The 0.14ha parcel in Lavaux St-Jacques faces southeast but is exposed to the cooling influence of the combe - a perfect combination in a year such as 2020." - 94 points, Charles Curtis MW, Decanter
