Description / Reviews

"Round, red fruited and supple. A juicy Bourgogne Rouge from younger, lower sited Monthelie plots. Ethereal, fragrant and a perfect intro. to the sensual nature of the wines at this fantastic 'new' address." - Ned Goodwin MW

"Paul Dujardin took over the eponymous estate from his parents in 2016. He and his sister, Margaux, work together. Paul is a mere 31 years old, with a deft touch belying his youth. I discovered the wines two-years ago, smitten by Monthelie as arguably the most attractive commune on the Côte d’Or and more importantly, an elevated amphitheatre on meagre limestone, sandwiched between (and well above) Volnay and Meursault. Via way of elevation and aspect, Monthelie transcends the warming temperatures lower down that too often ravage Pinot's delicacy." - Bass Phillip, Importer
