Description
"Cask sample. Transparent ruby. Some evolution on the nose already. Lots of sweet charm and depth. Some structure, drive and intensity." - 17+ Jancis Robinson
"Following a hard day’s work, the monks of Cluny used to retire to the Combe aux Moines during the period of the Château de Gevrey-Chambertin’s construction. This plot’s soil, which lies slightly higher up than that of the ‘Cazetiers’, shares its characteristics consisting of fossiliferous clays and white marl. This East-facing plot presents a pronounced incline. The resulting wine, though less rich than the Cazetiers, displays a distinctive added freshness that makes it a deep and exceptional wine." - Domaine Faiveley
"The nose reveals delightful aromas of fresh red fruit and spices, with subtle hints of wood and smoky notes. Fullbodied and persistent on the palate, it also delivers fruity and woody flavours. An elegant wine, with soft tannins and a finish that leaves a refined impression on the palate." - Importers Note
