"Riesling grown biodynamically at Grosset Rockwood Vineyard (Watervale sub-region), established in 2001 (25 years old). Hand harvested with no fining. This 300-metre corridor of hard red rock, with poor orange-red topsoil, seemed an unlikely home for riesling. I believed in its potential despite not really knowing what to expect.  In this case, a more European winemaking approach has brought out the best expression. Pretty and floral on the nose, this seventeenth vintage from Rockwood Vineyard showcases the European-style expression, a subtle yet enticing generosity. Kaffir lime and pink grapefruit emerge with elegant citrus purity. Delicious and textural, balanced by a building crispness through the finish." - Winemaker Notes
