"Syrah from the cool climes of the Adelaide Hills. These grapes are sourced from the Murdoch Hill vineyard just outside of Oakbank. 30% whole bunch fermentation and only minimal hand plunging. 9 months in seasoned French oak. Spicy and lifted, this Syrah leaps from the glass. Loaded with plush dark berries, olive tapenade and pepper-crusted game, all coiled around a firm arrow of long, powdery tannin." - Winemaker Notes
"Slurpy, spicy, dark fruited, touches of new leather, tobacco, clove, pepper, in rich plum, meat drippings and choc-liquorice. Quite a rollicking ride here, overt, bold, a touch warm in spice but cool in fruit character despite the generosity of flavour. Mellow, easy drinking, super supple in tannin profile, a lingering, sweet spice stain on the palate a nice touch. Go forth." - 92 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
