// 51% Sangiovese, 49% Grenache
"Bush vine grenache from Blewitt Springs and organic and biodynamic sangiovese from Seaview; a mix of tank and old barrels, for freshness and complexity, respectively. A more coppery, pale pink here, less in the coral zone. Colour – it’s a rosé thing, meaningful or not. This is a neat sidestep from the norm, with upfront appeal in that strawberry and watermelon zone, some pink apple, but there’s also a reserve, a savouriness, a gastronomic edge. White pepper, sour cherry, a friendly burr of mature oak. It’s both familiar and different, and just such an engaging style, succulent, sustained and essentially moreish." - 95 points, Marcus Ellis
"‘Sakura’ translates to ‘Cherry Blossom’
Light to medium bodied style, with a delicate salmon hue. The Sangiovese offers some herbal and spicy notes through the lifted watermelon and strawberry palate. There is a flinty edge and perhaps pithiness akin to biting a ripe red delicious apple. Cool acidity balances nicely with the layers and texture from partial seasoned oak fermentation." - In Praise of Shadows
