Description
"These wines need time or deserve time, is the gist. We know this. It opens quite woody and oaky in perfume, a fog of cedar and clove, tobacco and twigginess, but time relaxed that and the palate is juicier than expected and more primary with oak seasoning more integrated and pleasing. Dark cherry forms the basis of fruit characters, a bit of squeaky kirsch boozey-sweetness-bitterness in there too. It feels potent and stern as a wine, woody tannins in a web over the brooding fruit. Stoic. A serious feeling wine but in a bit of a dry reddy, dusty place right now. Cellar." - 93+ Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
