2020 Virgilius Viognier - $46 on special ; $53 RRP

"Our Flagship white wine, The Virgilius Viognier, is often regarded as Australia's benchmark Viognier. This elegant wine will take you on an aromatic journey as it evolves in the glass. Lifted ginger spice is layered on the palate with mineral, sourdough-like texture, apricots and almond savouriness. The hallmark Viognier texture of the palate is clearly evident in this wine. It is complex while at the same time shows purity and restraint that will unwind slowly in the glass and take the imbiber on a sensory journey." - Winemaker Notes

2022 Vine Vale Grenache - $32 on special ; $37 RRP

"Handcrafted from our old vine Grenache block, Vine Vale Grenache is all about the subtlety of whole bunch fermentation. Bright ruby purple in colour. Pretty red cherries and blue berry fruits with the subtle scent of red grapefruit are intriguingly combined with suggestions of savoury herbs and spices. The palate is plush, juicy and succulent. Red and blue fruits are entwined in mocha flavours with bright acidity and fine, powdery tannins. A wine with alluring fragrance, it is complex, savoury and fruit driven. Generous and bright through the palate with a crunch of acidity surrounding the juicy middle palate that Grenache aficionados will love." - Winemaker Notes

2019 The Tri-Centenary Grenache - $65 on special ; $75 RRP

"Handpicked from old, gnarly bush vines planted in 1889 in two acres of deep sandy loam soil over red-brown clay in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Year after year these ancestor vines give small quantities of exceptional grapes. Striking floral aromas, complex and intriguing. Blueberry, wild cherry, raspberries and pomegranates are entwined in orange zest, pepper, spices and leafy notes. The hallmark of this wine is 249 day post-ferment maceration which imparts incredible silky texture and refinement to the palate, creating a textural wine with depth, structure, vibrant acidity and defined tannins. Stunning now, it will gradually evolve over the medium term." - Winemaker Notes

2018 Paradox Shiraz - $43 on special ; $49 RRP

"As you might expect from its name, the Paradox Shiraz is not what you would expect from a wine from the warmest parts of the northern Barossa Valley. It's a softer, more gentle, velvet-like and savoury style of wine. Crimson red in colour. An alluring bouquet of wild fennel, boysenberry and rose petals, surrounded in subtle notes of smoky oak. A generous palate with loads of boysenberry, chocolate and plum cake. The wine has a silky texture and finishes with velvet-like tannins, making it a delight to drink." - Winemaker Notes

2018 Steeple Vineyard Shiraz - $69 on special ; $79 RRP

// Certified Organic & Biodynamic

"This exceptional single-site Shiraz is made from antique vines that were planted in 1919 on the world famous soils of the Barossa Valley floor. Delivering lifted aromatic beauty this shows cool violets, anise and dark cherry with red spices and plums and cranberries and pomegranates. Medium to full bodied, generous with fleshy red plum fruits and dark cherries." - Winemaker Notes

2018 The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon$55 on special ; $63 RRP

"A classic full-bodied expression of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, The Menzies has all the hallmarks of a great Cabernet wine: intense varietal expression of berries and sea spray, held together by taut grape and oak tannin. Deep crimson with a plum hue. Aromas of fresh rosemary, mulberry, ozone, violets and exotic spices. Take a sip and you will feel the poise and tension for which great Cabernet is renowned. A wine of great complexity with flavours of blackcurrant, bitter chocolate and mulberries, wrapped in divine tannins and a lovely sweet, dark fruit finish. With decanting in its youth it is enjoyable as an elegant full-bodied red wine." - Winemaker Notes

"This wine is medium in weight, it carries some floral perfumes, it has a creaminess to its texture but there’s some race to the acidity too; a friskiness; a cool refreshment to the power of the blackcurrant-driven fruit. Peppermint and cedar are in play here too, and tobacco, the latter with an earthen almost-dryness to it. Forest berries; deserved of a mention. Hold back on this; give it some time. I’ve come to see it as beautifully constructed." - 94+ Points, Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

2019 The Signature Cabernet Shiraz - $57 on special ; $65 RRP

"Encompassing everything our family stands for and the perfect representation of our history and ethos, The Signature is a sentimental favourite. A classic Australian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, the first vintage release of The Signature was in 1962. A star of the 2019 vintage. Deep, dense purple-red in colour. Seductive and alluring florals, cool mints, red pomegranate with fine blackberry fruits and dark cherry aromas. The palate is delightfully generous with dark red cherry fruit that merges into ironstone tannins. A medium to full bodied wine with a long, flowing tannin profile. A very refined and elegantly styled Signature." - Winemaker Notes

"It’s heady in its perfume, thick scents of ripe raspberry, vanilla coffee, boysenberry and cedar with whiffs of green herb. The palate is impossibly rich and soft, smooth and velvety, voluptuous but with great freshness and a minty lift. Hedonistic style, but the brightness is really appealing, and the wine has veered well away from its past dry, firm, somewhat taxing-in-youth structural styles. A light squeeze of tannin. It’s got Aussie classic written all over it." - 95 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front

2018 The Caley Cabernet Shiraz - $365 on special ; $415 RRP

// 80% Coonawarra Cabernet and 20% Barossa Shiraz

"Good depth and hue of colour it’s still purple-tinted at this age. The bouquet is fresh and bold, replete with forest-floor/mint and dried-herb nuances, while the palate is very powerful, concentrated, full-bodied and firmly constructed. Deep-set cassis fruit as well, still partially in hiding. This is a dense, power-packed cabernet-driven red with abundant tannins. Tremendously long finish. A magnificent wine, which has what it takes to age and reward cellaring for the long term." - 99 Points, Huon Hooke, The Real Review

"Medium deep crimson. Very attractive cassis, dark plum, with marzipan, roasted chestnut notes, hints of aniseed. Generous pure blackcurrant, dark plum flavours, fine slinky textures, beautiful mid palate viscosity and integrated roasted chestnut. Tannins flow into a lacy plume at the finish. Beautifully balanced wine with all of the elements tucked in perfect symmetry. A classic modern South Australian Cabernet Shiraz with very good volume, density, complexity and torque. Should last a good 50 years, especially with its long high quality cork." - 98+ Points, Andrew Caillard MW, The Vintage Journal
