// Chardonnay 65%, Pinot Noir 35%, James Halliday Top 100 Wines!

"The combination of a citrus core from chardonnay complimented by the red fruit highlights from pinot noir produces a lovely fruit profile. Add in the 7 years of lees ageing in bottle to build the baked pastry, brioche character and textural complexity with a touch of aldehyde to really lift the aromatics as well as the subtle and imperceptible richness of the expedition liqueur and you can see why we get excited about this wine." - Printhie, Winemaker

"65/35% chardonnay/pinot noir. No mlf, eight years on lees, 3g/L dosage and disgorged October 2023. Ripe lemon skin, golden apple, lanolin, lemon myrtle and dried paper bark. Shattered oyster shell, dry sand and chalk powder. Roasted pine nut, candlenut and brie cheese skin. Undulating pools of acidity followed by blush cherries, yuzu and pineapple. The palate feels endless and fruit weight is significant, it's carried by engaged acid and the perfectly tailored dosage. A wonder of a wine." - 97 Points, Shanteh Wale, Halliday Wine Companion

"84 months on lees (which is pretty amazing). 65% chardonnay, 35% pinot noir. Grown at 980 metres asl. Very low dosage (5 grams/litre). Tasted blind at the Jete Global Sparkling Tasting.

The even glide. The sweetness to the citrus. The pure delivery of flavour. This is clean, straight down the line, and very good. Red apples, pears, yellow stonefruit and a candied bon bon character, though it finishes dry and (pleasingly) oystery. Great flavour and great harmony here." - 94 Points, Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
