"Harvested from our Cherry Shed Vineyard, located in Barmera, South Australia. Once deralict and broken down cherry orchard today it is home to a swag of Italian grape varieties, agave and chilies. Sangiovese has been made famous by Tuscany and Super Tuscan wines. In Australia we are fortunate to a number of clones of Sangiovese to choose from, which is essential as many clones tend to produce large crops. Ricca Terra has chosen clone MAT 7 which is considered a low yielding higher quality clone.
The 2026 Ricca Terra Sangiovese was harvested at 13.5 Baume, crushed and fermented in old French oak barrels.The bright label of this wine is a reflection of what is within, a wine that pops primary fruit, is youthful and can be drank at room temperature or chilled. " - Ricca Terra, Winemaker
