"The idea here is to make a lighter, juicy, fun times red! The base is Grenache, a variety that brings crunchy red fruits, heaps of drinkability, but acts as the bass in this funky tune. "The stated intent is to make a 'lighter, juicy, fun-times red!' It leans in that direction, but there’s also a bit of grunt here, some deep, black cherry tones, a layer or two of spice, ripe raspberry and tart blackberry. It’s also richer than the mission statement suggests. By the by, perhaps, as it’s certainly juicy and fruitful, with gentle tannin and enough crunchy finish to keep things tidy.
