"The 2025 vintage was magnificent. Moderate warm days, cool nights and dry conditions throughout the Summer and Autumn, provided ideal ripening conditions. Healthy, vibrant and balanced canopies across all sites produced wonderful flavours, acidity and fruit quality. White peach layered with lemon peel and hints of cumquat and clove dominate the perfume and entrée to this wine. Notes of crumpet, cumquat, orange blossom with balanced oak provide a creamy texture and the impression of lightness yet depth. A delicate and powerful expression of the Wallis Chardonnay." - Winemaker Notes
"Light, reserved straw-yellow hue; roasted almond and wheatmeal on the bouquet amongst the smoky reduction and toasty barrel aromas. Delicious wine—very intense and focused, with a dab of sweetness in the middle leading into a lingering, refined palate of impeccable balance and style. "This will need some time. It tastes of pear drop and lemon, grilled peach, lemonade and cedar, with ozone and aromatic herb notes adding grain and tension to the finish. In fact you wouldn’t be far wrong if you described this as minerally.
