The indigenous variety of the far north-east of Italy. Nonconformist, deep-rooted, tough. Intolerant of phytosanitary treatments and viticultural practices, it was therefore saved from extinction at the last minute. Today it is one of the most interesting red grape varieties in the area, a heritage to be safeguarded.
