"A warm vintage but, gee, you wouldn’t know it with this tightly wound wine. And I love it. It sparks with energy and fine acidity with plenty of complexity. Best to pop it away for another year but, if you can’t wait (I get it), expect pops of grapefruit, Meyer lemon and finger lime with some zest. There’s some savouriness via lees and spicy oak, not much and much needed. It’s like a thoroughbred horse at the moment you allow it to shift gear from cantering to galloping.
