"This was was even more substantial when tasted from bottle than from barrel, with dark mulberry and plum fruit and lashings of exotic spice and mineral notes. The texture is firmly tannic and dense, but there is no sense of astringency. The grapes are from several parcels that total 2.27ha; the oldest were planted in 1950. The grapes are fermented as one-third whole clusters, and the wine is aged 18-20 months in barrels, 40% new." - 94 Points, Charles Curtis MW, Decanter
"A slightly more deeply pitched nose of plum and black cherry also displays floral top notes. On the palate there is excellent vibrancy and definition while the medium-bodied flavors deliver solid depth and persistence on the dusty, serious and lingering finale.
