Description
Leongatha, South Gippsland Pinot Noir from vines planted in 1990 in deep basalt-rich clay loam soil. 85% destemmed and 15% whole bunch with wild yeast, open-top fermentation. Barrel selected and matured in seasoned oak puncheons. A focused, expressive Pinot with fine detail and a grounded, savoury edge.
"Deep cherry red in colour. The nose is vibrant with lifted plummy red fruits, cherries and herbal spice. The palate is earthy and fleshy, with a savoury core and silky, slippery tannins. A wine of elegance and quiet power." - Winemakers Lisa & Justin
