"Hughes Family vineyards, from Whitehut - just to the north of the Clare township. A textural, dry Riesling, with plenty of fresh acidity to match the mouthfeel. A nod in both Clare and Rheinhessen directions. Slow / oxidative pressing, natural Fermentation, elevaged on lees for 8-10 months." - Frederick Stevenson, Winemaker
"Much longer time on lees in this release. Some skin contact/pressing slowly through a 24 hour period or so too. A very aromatic riesling, a fog of scent, high toned citrus, pickled ginger, wet fern and pine resin notes touched up with some orange blossom florals. The palate sets off green appley, swerves through grapefruity freshness, shows a touch of richness in puppy fat texture and a squeaky grip to close. Excellent balance of things here, riesling with a little volume turned up. Spot on." - 94 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
