Description / Reviews
"A new addition last year. Situated on a south-facing slope on the road heading up to Saint Romain. The valley narrows and the southern exposure is reduced due to the hill opposite. This, and the cool air that travels down from the Hautes-Côtes, makes this a particularly appealing site in the warm years. Planted some 50+ years ago on a split trellis system it looks more like a vineyard I would find in Australia, not in Burgundy. 20% new oak. Medium garnet in colour. This year the wine is open and approachable. Aromas of raspberries and strawberry supported by the spice of the barrel. Medium bodied, lots of crunchy, bright fruit flavours that are more red than black. Touch of cedar, medium bodied with fine, but firm tannins on the finish. This wine is more open at this stage than the 2022." - Jane Eyre, Winemaker
"Second vintage. Single vineyard. High trellis on lyre. 20% whole bunch, 20% new oak. Vegan. Smells so sweet-fruited after the Fleurie. Red cherry and a little bit of oak sweetness. Creamy, generous but light-bodied. Juicy, lively and long." - 16.5/20 Points, Julia Harding MW, Jancis Robinson
