"Réflexion embodies Lallier signature style; a perfect balance of our four atmospheres: Freshness, Purity, Depth and Intensity. Sourced predominantly from the 2020 harvest, which makes up 81% of the blend. For the first time since the creation of Réflexion, Chardonnay dominates the blend at 51%. Grapes were sourced from over 50 crus within Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne and Montgueux for the Chardonnay, and Vallée de la Marne, Montagne de Reims and Côte des Bar for the Pinot Noir. An early harvest, starting in late August, yielded a superb quality of grapes, combining delivering intensity and freshness. White flowers aromas (acacia and hawthorn), with strong notes of fresh citrus fruits (lemon zest and kumquat) and a hint of ripe fruits (peach and apricot). On the palate, a fresh and delicate silky opening with balanced depth in the middle. The finish is long with a pleasant aromatic persistence and dominated by a mineral salinity." - House Notes

"The power of the 2020 vintage is present here with some firm, structured Pinot Noir from Aÿ, but Dominique Demarville's decision to lead with plenty of Chardonnay lends his first blend for Lallier a delicate, zesty side too, detailed with a tiny touch of barrel complexity behind pear tart, apricot kernel and sweet raspberry fragrance. There's plenty to chew on in the fruit of the base vintage, yet the style remains focused on clarity and purity – refreshment, rather than weight, is the goal." - Tom Hewson, Decanter

"The subtle nose suggests fresh challah bread, a sensation that strengthens on the palate where Pinot Noir's structure becomes apparent. The frothy mousse allows the wine's silkiness to shine and underlines its slenderness. While 2020 imparts a certain mildness, the finish remains bright and vivid. An elegant and light apero style!" - Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous
