"73/27% verdelho/viognier. Made from two varieties that don’t always get a lot of love, but there’s a lot going on here. Apricot jam and thick-cut marmalade vibes; not sweet, of course, just deeply flavoured, and also somewhat viscous, with agreeably bitter edges moderating things. Mustard and coriander seeds, struck flint, some orange oil and a pine/cedar note. There’s a slipperiness to texture, and silty grip, a distinct membrillo note closing out.
