Description
Polished copper / old gold colour. Slightly shyer on the nose than the 1995, but also rounder and less spicy. Woody notes feature early before an understated rush of orchard fruits. Sweet cider, apple tart and tannic oak extend the aftertaste. Still vibrant for its age, with enough astringency to work as a between-course palate cleanser.
