"Il Carpino sits on the ‘Golden Strip’, along with their closest neighbours, Gravner and Radikon, you probably haven’t heard of them, but they have been alive since the late 1980’s. Their slice of land is on the border (quite literally), further inland and at a higher altitude than most producers. This grape haven is regarded as a cooler pocket and produces wines with more definition, brightness and mineral inflections than those in other pockets of the region that are perhaps seen as more fruit forward. The ‘Vigna Runc’ range are made from younger vineyards with stainless steel ferments and are released early to maintain their crisp, flavorsome, fresh styles." - Primavera, Importer
